GENERAL INFORMATION:   THE GAME Our paintball games are played on 350 acres of varied terrain. We're located at the Thunder Ridge Ski Area in Putnam County less than one hour from NYC. The goal of the game is to capture the other team's flag and bring it back to your home base. Use the natural and man-made terrain features to assist you in your game plan (including Buildings, Bunkers, Ravines, Boulders, Rock Walls, Brush, Streams and Dense Forests). It sounds easy, but that's where strategy and teamwork come in to play. Each team memer is equipped with a CO2/Compressed Air powered Paint Rifle. The object is to "Tag" your opponents, removing them from the game, allowing your team to capture their flag. (Players in the game are "Tagged" by paintballs, which are water soluable and non-toxic, posing no threat to the environment.) What happens if you are "Tagged" and must exit the game? Not to worry. You will only have to wait on the sidelines for a short while, each game lasts no more than 20 minutes. The game poses an opportunity to meet people and experience the camaraderie of striving for a common goal.   GAME TIMES/PLAYING SEASON The game operates on weekends all year long. Weekday games are available for private groups of 20 or more people. Reservations are required for private groups of 20 or more players to ensure space is available for your group. Registration begins at 8:30am with games ending between 4:00pm and 5:00 pm. A typical day includes approximately eight games. Games are played rain or shine except under severe weather conditions. We suggest being at our facility for at least 4 hours to ensure sufficent playing time.   LUNCH Between the morning and afternoon games relax in our fully equipped cafeteria. We have a selection of both hot and cold foods to satisfy your appetite, you are also welcome to bring your own lunch. Alcoholic beverages are strictly forbidden RESERVATIONS Reservations are required if you would like a private game and should be made at least a week ahead of time. The larger the group the earlier you should make your reservation. Reservations cannot be made on-line, you must call our offices. Deposits are required for larger groups. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. GROUP/CORPORATE OUTINGS Paintball has become a popular alternative for traditional birthday and bachelor parties. It's also an excellent activity for camps, colleges, scouts and youth organizations. Corporations have used paintball as an excellent team/leadership building excercise or just as a fun way for staff to get to know each other better. We also have facilities to cater a corporate breakfast or lunch before your paintball outing. WHAT TO BRING Paintball is more enjoyable when you are prepared for a full day of outdoor activity. We suggest the following:   • Dark Clothing or Camouflage   • Hiking Boots or Work Boots   • Change of Clothes   (Camouflage jumpsuits are available for rent)
